The business objective: Verge Break are a startup who want to break the mould of roadside cafes. Their vision was to create a chain of coffee stops, which are both high quality and environmentally sustainable through being off the grid. The challenge was to create a brand that was both high end whilst at the same time down to earth.
The creative solution: I used a strong green and sophisticated grey colour palette to strike a balance between the environmental angle and luxury feel. I incorporated a coffee been into the R letter in the logo to bring the barista coffee to life, as well as brought in the grass silhouette, bluebell and butterfly to reference nature. The supporting visual assets of the grass, bee and additional butterfly add further depth to the brand.
